Artist Bio
Grace Murphy is a young Australian artist based in Victoria with a rising career trajectory working across various mediums. She completed her tertiary education at The Victorian College of The Arts, studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in painting, graduating in 2023. Predominantly working with the traditional medium of oil paints on wood panels. Her oeuvre also includes ceramic works and public works such as murals. The body of work is centred around creating contemporary depictions of human and animal relationships. At 24 years old, she had numerous solo shows across Victoria, including ‘Companion’ at SOL Gallery in Fitzroy, with many more to come. Her art can be found in the homes of private collectors. A commissioned portrait can be found in the dining hall of the Melbourne academic college, Newman College. Grace is a hardworking and determined artist with an impressive career ahead.
